The Unofficial

Secret Victoria's Club Page

Its no secret anymore! Many members of TIYC and NCYC are active in sailing Radio Controlled Sailboats.  The Victoria Class is popular for its portable size and low initial cost.  While the hull, rudder, and keel are strictly regulated, the spars and sails are open to design and material changes, so long as they measure within the class tolerances.  For more information on this class go to: http://www.victoriarc.org/

On Sunday April 18, the Victoria Regionals were held at North Cape Yacht Club.  We had beautiful weather and sailed off the beach most of the regatta.  Strong winds made for great wipeouts and wrecks.  We even had one boat sink!  This could possibly turn sailing into a spectator sport...  NASCAR for boats?

If you took any photos please email them to me and I will post them here for all to see.  I know there are many photos out there, so check back - I will update this page as they come in!   - Kent
